Dario Agati was born in Caltagirone in 1990 and moved to Rome, where he graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine.
His work is characterized by layers of color and long periods of time. The works emerge from personal thoughts and memories, beginning with photography, which then transforms into painting. For the artist, the cyclicality of art proves that human themes and desires return over time, remaining united by the unchanging nature of humanity.
In 2017, he won the Dancity Festival / Art Session / Open Call 2017, Palazzo Candiotti, Foligno. He has participated in several exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including: Gioconda, Una Vetrina, Rome, 2020; Quite Solo, Albumarte, Rome, 2018; Uscita D’emergenza, MACRO Testaccio Museum, Rome, 2015; Μύθοι_ Myths, Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, Rome, 2014; Impressiò Esperimental, Escola Massana, Barcelona, 2014; Limen Arte 2012, Palazzo Enrico Gagliardi, Vibo Valentia, 2012; Artesiana – Artisti in Villa, Archaeological Park of the Roman Villa del Casale, Enna, 2012. He currently teaches Digital Printing Techniques and Technologies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and is a teacher of Drawing and Art History at the secondary school level
